Part 1
For changes to be of any true value, they’ve got to be lasting and consistent. – Tony Robbins

I think we all have different definitions of success, but success to me means you are constantly improving the quality of the life you’re living. The secret to happiness and success for a feminine woman is to be regularly improving the quality of your life, bit by bit, each day.
So, my guess is that if you’re a woman, regardless of your age, you have a lot of responsibilities. You may have kids, family, your health and fitness, friends, your man, your spiritual and emotional health, dance/sport/sewing classes, maybe study commitments at school or university, homemaking, perhaps you have a job as well. That’s a lot of responsibility!
SO, how do you actually BALANCE all your responsibilities and work on becoming the best person you can be? You may feel so overwhelmed by everything, and think that you don’t have time to exercise, look pretty, FEEL pretty and fabulous as well as be happy, AND make your man and your family very happy. Overwhelm is the emotion that you don’t want to get to often. When you feel overwhelmed, you start to get stressed, and stress brings havoc to your physical health. Stress is one of the biggest contributors to AGING! You don’t want to stress very much, ideally, if at all. Especially if you want to maintain your beauty and vitality. The key to not getting to overwhelm is to make small improvementsconsistently.
OK, so, to the strategies:
To be successful and to balance and juggle ALL of a woman’s responsibilities, you must take SMALL steps daily to improve the quality not only of your own life, but of those around you as well. The key to this is to not realize that your relationships is suffering and then jump right in to improving that, because then other responsibilities will get neglected.
So, you need to make small improvements daily, and over time, the improvements you think you weren’t seeing will be ACCUMULATIVE. Of course, your children (if you have them) will be a major responsibility and you need to focus on that quite a lot. However, the principle remains the same; you must make improvements to, and work on things consistently and regularly. Not every now and then, but consistently. The Universe rewards consistency, not dibble and dabble.
If you improve only 1% every week for a whole year, you don’t improve 52% at the end of the year. But rather, you improve 178%If you improve 1% every over a year, you improve 3,778%!! This is the effect of consistent, continual and daily improvement!!
What will really make a difference in your life, is to make a decision. Decisions will shape your future. Even if you do not make a decision, you’re still making one; you’re just making one to not do anything at all/not make a decision! So, if you really want to improve the quality of the live you live, you must make a decision to commit yourself to improving things consistently, and then apply your mind, body and soul diligently.
Unfortunately, life is very short. We all want to do more, and want to experience more, but to HAVE that experience, you must work on things bit by bit, consistently. Make small improvements to the condition of your physical body daily. Do small things daily to improve your intimate relationship or your relationship with your friends.
Even if you make a decision to understand a loved one or a friend rather than get angry, you are making a huge decision and putting a lot towards becoming a better woman. You’ll be slowly changing the way you see and do things, and this will accumulate and over time, make your relationships with everybody better, and soon enough, outstanding.
What you must avoid is putting too much time in to one thing at once! Sure, put your heart and soul 100% in to whatever you are doing, and do it with conviction, but just because you find your health and fitness is suffering, going out and running every day for a week is not what you want to do, because you will eventually stop, since there are so many things to do, and we all have so many challenges, that things will come up in life, that you will delay, delay, delay. Not to mention that once you lose momentum, it’s hard to get it back. Momentum can be built gradually, and then it will last.
The problem with jumping right in to something is that (apart from neglecting other areas of your life), often you may not notice results. This kills momentum. But if you acknowledge that success and results come from consistency and commitment over the long-term, you will gain a lot more lasting momentum. After a little while, you’ll start to notice small improvements that will make you feel like you’re accomplishing something, and this will fuel you a little bit more and create momentum that won’t ease off as quickly as it came. Not to mention that repetition also increases success AND repetition will help you make those things that seemed so HARD seem easy in the long run and it will become a habit.
Also – success often just creeps up on you and surprises you without you expecting it! and you may wonder where it came from, and start to feel so lucky! This is all due to consistently applying yourself. Also, never forget that if you’re doing something that takes a lot of time and effort, and it doesn’t seem to be paying off – this is the 80/20 rule in action. 99% of your success will only become APPARENT in the last 20% of your efforts and time put towards it! I have seen this happen in my own life, and the rewards are absolutely mind boggling!
So, perhaps you can make a decision to start with a short 5 or 10 minute run. Then gradually do more. If the house needs cleaning, you can do it bit by bit. Start in one area, and gradually do more until the entire house is clean and tidy.
If you make the decision to make small improvements daily to all the different areas of your life, things will seem less overwhelming overall. Not only that, but you’ll be surprised at the accumulated improvements you will see soon enough down the track. Not to mention you’ll be much better to be around, because you will not be as stressed! :)
If you have a dream, but always feel that you cannot accomplish it, start doing small things DAILY to contribute to it. Remember this:
Just to recap. In order to achieve success in your life, and to be always increasing the happiness you feel, you must be consistently making small improvements daily. And remember that decisions will shape your future. They will shape where you end up in 10, 20, 30, 40 or 50 years time. If you do not want to look back and regret things, or feel that you could have done more, employ this strategy I have given you, and give more and heart and soul than anyone you know!
I hope this post will guide you in a positive direction :) If you have any thoughts to share with us, please do in the comments section! :) Take care and have a lovely day/night, wherever you are.
